Apollo 11 Extreme & Skateboard Academy is an impressive organization that aims to help disadvantaged people through extreme sports. They're self-funded and run on a voluntary basis, raising money though their extreme sports shop in Falmouth, Cornwall and their online skateboarding shop Apollo 11 online. All of their profits are reinvested into helping people.
Their stock of equipment for skateboarding, longboarding, mountain-boarding, micro-scooters and accessories alike means they also provide an excellent range of equipment for the more seasoned professional, so you can, at the same time, enjoy your hobby to the max and be happy in the knowledge you're making a difference.
Their wide range of products smacks of the in-depth knowledge Apollo 11 volunteers have. It includes Dogtown, Gravity, Driftwood, Santa Cruz and loads more. They’ve easily coupled two very succinct ideas: the technicality of sport as a learning process and a social obligation to the wider community.
The extreme sports world gives individuals from all backgrounds the chance to explore new and vibrant paths that they might otherwise not have had access to. Apollo 11 provides a safe and trusting environment that helps reach out to people who have been under-privileged or who have learning disabilities.
Apollo 11 works with a range of organizations like Wize Up (a substance abuse and rehabilitation Government Funded Organisation,) the Youth Offending Team and the Social Services in order to provide the best care possible.
"There are skateboard shops and then skateboard shops with passion and soul." In Apollo 11’s case they are ensuring better prospects for the community and its individuals - boarding is a valuable lesson in friendship, trust and stability (although some practice on a deck would help with that one!)
So if you know anyone who loves skateboarding but is prevented from fulfilling their passion for any number of issues, get in touch with Apollo 11. The power of extreme sport doesn’t end when you put your board down.

“It all started with being put to bed by a family relative, touching me at first then escalating over a 7 year period, feelings of guilt and strange feelings of this is very wrong where my first memories. Then being forced to watch my Sister go through the same actually left me void of any feelings or emotions.
The years past and the family secret stayed within a small group, I think it even faded from there minds but slowly it destroyed every thing I love, it’s just like an evil disease within, you even run away from situations but it’s always there.
Since reading the post I have suffered in silence with the exception of the amazing people at APOLLO 11, they worked with me on and off for years and for this I can never thank them enough. The only feeling of hurt and disgust now lies with the cowardly and anonymous posting not to mention is this a perverted way for a paedophile to close them down?
If the person comes forward I am sure that they will arrange a meeting in London where the Chartered Accounting and Management Firm are based (they are an independent firm by the way) where you can satisfy yourself that very thing is run in accordance with current laws and government policies and guidlines.
As a victim I have seen a very different side to APOLLO 11 but also I am a skater who they have taken away on trips, again I viewed them from a very different angle, all good and who ever you are considering there budget constraints they know how to have a real good time and put smiles on faces.
APOLLO 11, listen, please; DO not stop the work you do as people like me will have nowhere to seek independent and confidential help and support.
I hope people fully understand that I can’t leave my name as the innocent members of my family could be victimised but I am happy to meet you and discuss my case with you but due to your posting this meeting will have to be with a Solicitor or Social Services.

A victim of child abuse
P.s I have provided APOLLO 11's email address as they need to be kept aware of this kind of intimidating and possibly criminal accusations. I hope this does'nt get me in trouble but I am sure another victim will understand.
